Our last day we will be open to patients will be Friday, October 16, 2026. Please monitor this website for any updates on transition of care and to see why we are leaving Parker.

As of Monday, 10-5-26, and until we close, only Alicia and Dr. Shillito will be at the office. We will try to answer calls as best we can and Alicia will do vitals and room patients. No more authorizations or referrals will be done as we do not have the staff to support that.

Records can be requested before & after we close. We will post a number on this website on the day we close, so patients can call & request PMC records as needed. Outside physician records that were not incorporated into PMC's record can be picked up until we leave, then you must get them from the original provider.

To all my patients- It is with a sad heart that I must tell you that I will be closing my practice and moving away from Parker. Both I and Alicia, my wife and office manager of Parker Medical Center, made a decision that we could no longer financially continue to practice as a private practice.

We did ask La Paz Regional Hospital if they were interested in taking over our building and bringing myself and my staff on as hospital employees, so that we could maintain continuity of care, both with our location and our style of care, but they were not interested and declined that offer.

Please understand my and Alicia's first choice was to continue to live and practice medicine in Parker.

Happily, La Paz Regional Hospital did agree to hire Sandra Matheny, our Nurse Practioner, Anna, our referrals coordinator and Annette, our medical assistant. We wish them all the best of luck in the future. My biller for over 22 years (also my sister), Robyn, works remotely and will be moving on to new things.

We will do our best to help our patients transition to other care. I encourage all our patients to immediately seek a new primary care provider. Options are La Paz Regional Hospital's River Health Clinic, La Paz Medical Services in Quartzsite, Walk-In Clinic in Parker, or providers in Lake Havasu City.

If you need refills on non-controlled medications, we can give you enough to help bridge your transition to a new provider. If you are on controlled medications, I may only be able to give you one or two refills before we close. There is good news though, if you are on opioids.

We have contacted Lakeside Spine and Pain in Lake Havasu City and they have agreed to see our patients who are on opioids. You will need us to send a simple referral. If you do not get your referral by the time we leave, and your primary care provider does not want to prescribe your opioids, he or she can refer you.

Please monitor this website for updates and know that I, Sandy, Alicia, Annette, Anna, and Robyn will all miss you and wish you good fortune with your future health. It was a privilege for me to know and care for all of you, my patients, throughout my 22 years in Parker.
